Swim with the whales

Each year, between July and November, humpback whales visit the waters of French Polynesia to reproduce and give birth. You can dive or go snorkeling to watch the whales perform their marvellous aquatic ballet and listen to the haunting melodies of their songs. However, you can only observe these cetaceans by snorkeling, and you’ll need to observe a few rules to avoid disturbing these large marine mammals.

The coral gardens in French Polynesia are home to a rich and fascinating fauna, such as the multicolored nudibranch. The world’s coral reefs are in danger, and various associations, like the Coral Gardeners of Moorea, are committed to preserving them, so that the diving experience retains its color and magic.
