The Hydro Plane & The Goelette
You can visit two shipwrecks in the same dive: L’hydravion -a Catalina seaplane from 1962 and La Goélette – a minesweeper that sank in 1976. The two wrecks are on the sandy seabed at Faa’a and are home to numerous species of fish. They are at depths of 7 and 22 meters.
Sea turtle plateau
The west coast of Tahiti is a haven of peace for sea turtles and they swim around freely in the crystal clear waters of the ocean. They share their home with schools of dolphins and the sharks of the coral reefs.
The white valley
An incredible site on the exterior slopes and sandy seabed of Papeete’s pass. Schools of jackfish, as well as sharks, barracudas, moray eels and sea turtles live in the waters of the pass all year round. The current can be quite strong, but it is a superb spot for appreciating the richness of the marine life in Tahiti.
